Concerts
Partnering with other local businesses, music non-profits, dinner theatres, restaurants and social clubs, Meadowood helps to make live music available and accessible by bringing artists to the area.
The first concert Meadowood arranged and sponsored was at Godfrey Daniels with string wizard, Robin Bullock. Robin performed at several other Meadowood concerts, some of which also included hammered dulcimer great, Ken Kolodner, and fiddler extraordinaire, Laura Risk. Robin also performed for Meadowood with Steve Baughman.
Meadowood has also hosted several concerts featuring Rich Starkey, Mark Cosgrove, Craig Thatcher and Dean Smith, each a wonderful player in his own right.
Meadowood sponsors concerts at Maiers' Grove in Blandon every summer as part of the Maidencreek Old Time Music Festival and as part of the Blandon Lions Club community events. Artists performing there include the festival organizers, teachers at the festival (Tom and Betty Druckenmiller, Norm Williams, Dave Fry, Ken Gehret, Keith Brintzenhoff, Judy Terwilliger, Stacy Bechtel, Dave Kline, John Ehlis, Mitch Miller, Ted Fenstermacher, Stan Zurkowski, and others) and master clinicians (Joe Newberry, Jesse Milnes, Jane Rothfield, Hunter Walker, Barb Schmid, Todd Clewell, Ken and Brad Kolodner, Don Pedi, Frank Lee, and others).
