Teaches at Meadowood: Wed & Thurs through the end of June 2019

We are happy for Kariana and sad for Meadowood that she will be available to us only through the end of June 2019. Kariana is moving to Germany to work as a teacher there.
Kariana Leinbach has studied music since she was six years old, beginning piano
lessons with Doris Ketner in 2003 and picking up violin with Judy Terwilliger at Meadowood
Music in 2006. From middle school through high school, she also studied with James Neher,
Cynthia Salti Leibee, and Margaret Hey.
Kariana participated in musical ensembles at a variety of performing venues including churches, nursing homes, Hopewell National Historic Site, the CSMA Youth Orchestra, the King’s Academy string quartet, Lancaster Bible College, the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, the Kutztown University Orchestra, and Alvernia University. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in German Communication and Culture at Kutztown University.
Kariana will finish her bachelor’s at Kutztown University in May, 2018.
As a sophmore at KU, Kariana had already earned the role of concertmaster of both the Kutztown University Orchestra and the Kutztown University Chamber Players. She is an enthusiastic participant in several chamber ensembles ranging from trios to septets on and off campus: the North Poconos High School, the Highlands at Wyomissing, the Convention Hall at Cape May, NJ and numerous concerts and events at KU. She's worked/performed with notable musicians from both the United States and around the world, including Timothy Schwarz (violinist/conductor), Maria Asteriadou (pianist/chamber musician), Kurt Nikkanen (violinist/chamber musician/concertmaster of the New York City Ballet Orchestra), Jeremy Justeson (saxophonist), Adriana Linares (violist/chamber musician), David Kim (violinist/concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra), Ragga Petursdottir (violinist/chamber musician), Manuel Figueroa (double-bassist), and Dimitrios Chandrakis (violinist).
Active in the university's music department, she serves as President of the KU Orchestra Board and Vice President of the KU Chamber Players. As a member of the Kutztown University Honors Program, she serves her community through volunteer work, reaches out to prospective students through events and presentations, and strives to achieve high standards in her overall education. She strives to share her passion for music with everyone around her.
Kariana accepts beginning to advancing intermediate students on piano and violin. She strives to give her students a foundation with which they can develop further. As a player, Kariana gravitates toward Classical music, but has been known to enjoy fiddle music as well. She is grounded, thorough, patient and sincere.
We are so pleased to have Kariana as part of the cadre of fine teachers at Meadowood.
